Getting out of bed was quite an effort this morning! Then, it was all superfoggy, and chilly out, so I definitely wanted to stay home. Good think I didn't though, it looks like we are getting 9 off the bus (two with family) so I'm getting them in temp housing and finding sponsors...
With our 5 days, we did get some things accomplished. We had the Thanksgiving feast, went to the furniture PX and got a new bed, got most of the household goods unpacked and put away, and went to Cirque du Soleil!
It was pretty neat! We also, before the show, trapsed around downtown Frankfurt for a few hours, had a bratwurst (SB) some pommes fritas (french fries in a cone w/ mayo-HB) and some hot applewine w/ amaretto. It was interesting.
We also managed to laze around, play on the computer, watch tv, clean up the yard and some around the house, deal with all the recycling trash and enjoy one another. So, it was a good 5 days.

We just sat down to watch some tv, having stuffed our bellies full with turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls we just bought a few minutes ago at the bakery, and (for Heather only) sweet potato and cranberry sauce. It was DELICIOUS! and we were thankful.

Most of our stuff is unpacked, though it is stacked all around the house. We have 3 more days to get it put away, though, so all is good. Hope you had a great day, plenty of food to eat, plenty of love and laughter to share, and plenty of rest and relaxation.

November 16, 2006-Theo (now Abayomi) was officially adopted by new mommy, Bola. They were on TV and everything!! I'm trying to get a link to the news broadcast.

Well, we got a package today!! It was a big envelope with mail from Stephen's mom, Carol. Today is 11.14.06, and it was postmarked sent out...are you ready for this?? 09.22.06. How about THAT service? Almost 2 months.
At the CIF (Community Information Forum) we heard from the head of the military postal service (can't remember his rank/position) that they were operating with 40% of their needed personnel. And now the holidays are upon us, so it will probably only get worse.
There are worse things. At least we have email!
