hellooo! Let's see...what's there to catch up on...
Friday: I didn't write because I was stuck in the house all day. Unbenounced to him, I had put my wallet in Stephen's bag, and he took it with him to the Equal Opportunity Advisors Conference. So, I had no ID, no cash, nada. Therefore, no commissary trip, no library, nada. I did do 3 loads of laundry and packed some more to move to the house. When he walked in the door I knew he knew. He was all "I found your wallet as we were leaving the conference.

" I teased him that it was his way of making me a "kept woman!"

So he took me to eat at Wingers, my favorite restaurant on post, and then we went to the commissary.
Saturday, we had breakfast, loaded the truck, went to the house, unpacked the stuff, went to Wal-mart, the mall, and then parked and walked around Mannheim. At the house, we were a little disappointed because it wasn't finished. They are repainting, recaulking, etc, and it was suppose to be done. Of course we aren't technically renting until today, so we just piled the stuff in one corner (there wasn't all that much) and we'll see how it looks Monday.
Wal-mart was the same yellow smilies and blue smocks, but all German goods. We only bought some pretzels from the stand because we didn't really NEED anything, just looking around deciding what we will be getting. The mall was the same type deal, window shopping. Three interesting things about the mall...1)you can take your dog to the mall, 2) you can smoke in the mall (and everywhere else it seems) and 3) there is food everywhere, not just like the food court, also bread shops every 4 or 5 stores, and then grocery type places, including fruit and vegetable marts, etc. We got a bratwurst at the mall. When we drove downtown, parking was a little bit of an issue, but we got a space a few blocks from the watertower (kind of "downtown") and there was a big festival going on. There was a band and beer tents and snack tents and face painting, you know, a regular festival. We got there just a few minutes too late for the big market, they close up shop around 4pm. Seems everything closes by 5, and you know from last weekend, nothing's open on Sundays. Anyway, we went to the internet cafe to set our fantasy lineups for the weekend, and then walked back to the car and drove back to fun family housing.

OOOOHH, then there was a big electrical/rain storm. It was cool.
